Independence and Being True to myself | Stream of Consciousness #5

I’ve been wondering these past days, what do I really want to do with this ephemeral life of mine.

Obviously, the answer is not straightforward, it is still cloudy, and full of (self)doubt. The only thing I know is I want to better this World somehow. Will it be a project which could evolve into a business? Or will it be me going back to my artistic roots and start writing/drawing about how I interpret the World? Or will it be both? Who knows how yet.

The fact of the matter is, it is what I want to do! It’s what my true self wants me to do!

It’s so easy to be caught by how Society wants us to live. Go to your 9 to 5 job. Work your ass off. Watching your Life go by and hoping, when the time comes for your retirement, you’ll have the Will and the Money to enjoy your Life. If you ask me it’s a paradoxal way of looking into Life.

We should be independent enough to choose how we want to live. So the exercise I ask you to do is:

What do you really want to do with your Life?

There are no right or wrong answers, as long as you’re true to yourself. Put your education, your culture, your societal norms aside. Strip down of all that is accessory and answer this question and go for it.

Here is another stream of consciousness, please let me know what you think and tell me what is also going on on your life, so it might also help you process.
